The DTX400 Series Electronic Drum Kits

If you're just starting your drumming journey, the ideal electronic drum kit is one that offers a sturdy build, adjustability, comfortable playing, and a variety of kits that sound great through your headphones.

YAMAHA DTX402K is specifically designed for beginners. It offers a compact kit that takes up minimal space while providing a silent bass drum pedal that works wonders for home practice. The rack's height is adjustable to suit your needs, and the pads can be placed where you need them.

There is no menu entry on the DTX402 module. You can access each of its 10 preset kits through a dedicated button. This applies to playing along with songs, training modes, metronome, and tempo/sound control as well. For more in-depth editing control, users can download the free DTX402 Touch app.

YAMAHA DTX432K is built upon the success of the DTX400K series electronic drums and offers enhanced sound and features with its four-post rack, softer drum pads, updated songs, and improved training functions.

The DTX432K features the DTX402 drum trigger module, which includes 287 drum and percussion sounds and 128 keyboard sounds. The module is equipped with 10 preset kits that can all be customized with individual settings. The physical kit includes a snare pad, three tom pads, and a KP65 kick pad with a foot pedal. It supports open, closed, and foot splash hi-hat use with the hi-hat control pedal. Additionally, there are two large cymbals for crash and ride.

YAMAHA DTX452K, with its impressive stereo drum samples and better-playing rubber pads, offers practical and performance enhancements across the board, including a sturdy four-post rack. It provides you with an additional crash cymbal and a solid bass drum tower and pedal for a more traditional drum set feel and response. The drums are quick and dynamic, and there is a cymbal muting feature for added realism.

An exciting new feature is the ability to connect with your smart devices through the free DTX402 Touch app (iOS/Android) and YAMAHA's Rec'n'Share app. This allows you to record drum cover videos directly with your iOS device and share them using Yamaha's Rec'n'Share app.

The DTX502 Series Electronic Drum Kits

The next level up from the DTX 400 Series is the DTX502 Series. In this series, the DTX-PADs offer great sound quality and impressive playability, closely resembling acoustic drums. They can be easily integrated into a hybrid drum set.

Currently, the DTX502 Series electronic drum kits consist of three models: DTX522K, DTX532K, and DTX582K. Each of them is based on the DTX502 module, which includes 691 drum, percussion, and effect sounds, along with built-in comprehensive training functions, practice songs, and easy MIDI recording.

The DTX502 boasts nearly twice the wave ROM and over 250 additional sounds compared to the previous model, including new drum and cymbal samples optimized for DTX from top VST developers. Additionally, sounds inherited from our other DTX models have been updated for better playability and sound quality.
